2009 F'd Up Tournament: Selection Show

By: Luke Florence

Sit back, grab your favorite beverage, and enjoy the 2009 F'd Up Selection Show. Find out who the top seeds are, who won the Enthusiasm Spot, and which dead people of the past year we have chosen to remember the most.

(Apologies for the audio, we were experimenting with a new microphone, and we promise it will get better as we move along)

Until next time, "read it, roll it, hole it."

I'd just like to take a moment to congratulate my esteemed and enthusiastic opponent, Brian Boesch. While I worked for the same spot that he has won in this year's F'd Up Tourney, I realize I was beat by an opponent that was triple threat funny, consistent and fully enthused. I will work hard in the offseason to give him an even greater challenge in next year's tournament, but for now, congratulations to him. He is a shining example of what this tournament is meant to be, and he deserves what he receives.

It truly is an honor to be the Enthusiasm Spot holder. But there really is no fair way to pick among us three. If I win, then Jake and Jeff win. No doubt. But my scouting begins on Alexander Ovechkin. It will be quite a battle, but I'm ready.

By the way, some other intriguing match-ups I saw:

Matt Barnes-Gus Johnson (just wow...1st round?...could be a regional final-type atmosphere)
Peyton-Ferrell (two polar opposites, yet I love both...can't wait.
Pacquio vs. Constanza (George should be glad you guys are rolling dice)
Greinke vs. Grady's pics (battle of the "We-look-like-little-leaguers")
Hangover vs. 0-16 Lions (BIGGEST mismatch of the tournament, without a doubt)
KOA/QOA/KOA's brother all in the same region (Wow. Wow. Wow...this tourney really is bigger than life)
UCONN/Syr v. Bryant (Life on the Road in the F'd Up Tournament is tougher than Life on the Road in the MAC, coach)
LBJ v. The Promise (Matt Barnes has quite a challenging start to his two entries)
Alba v. Quinn (pure sexiness)

Can't wait. Should be a blast.
